HDAV
Anyone know where i can get a replacement zip for a slip? Fitted as my sowing is worse than my shooting! Slip is a napier protector 2 secure so its a shorter zip but has more bends. Any high st places? Anyone know some in south wales that could repair it. JohnfromUK
Try and find a local saddler. I had one done (on an older Brady gunslip) a few years ago by a local saddler (since unfortunately moved on I think). Try asking in the hunting/horsey community. Redgum
I bought a real tough zip off flea bay and sowed it in myself on top of old zip, I would never cut it as a seamstress but I took my time and the jobs a good un, the slip was over £50 but I'm afraid the fine zips that are used originally don't cut it in the field. Scully
I have a good slip I wanted to keep so gave it to a local lass to replace the zip two seasons ago who was starting up on her own after the local saddlers closed down. She's still got it. Edited December 17, 2014 by Scully
