Walther Rotex R8 "what is going on"

my shooting buddy after doing some research decided to order a "BRAND NEW" Walther Rotex R8 in .177, He ordered the new rifle on 20th August 2014 from Blackpool Air rifles,

now can I just say BAR have done their utmost in getting this new rifle that was paid in full "cash" but guess what ? they have tried their hearts out to get one and walther have let them down,

what is going on with walther ??? . its now the 3rd of November and still no sign of the new .177 rifle, Blackpool have tried in vain on numerous occasions to have one delivered and again and again walther have lied about the rifle constantly saying "it will be with you this week"

don't get me wrong I know its a new rifle and I know its a great little gun for the money and I can say after using one a couple of times I have been very impressed with how it has performed except for its weight its a bit like the hw100 weight wise but better looking, but surely you would think they would of prepared themselves properly for the launch of this rifle,

I really felt sorry for BAR as they honestly did all they could to get the rifle in BUT Walther just repeatedly let them down,

the order has now been cancelled and a full refund given,

walther you have let a decent company down and also a decent GUN down and a good customer, what a way to introduce yourselves and your new rifle to the airgun fraternity,

get a grip and sort yourselves out or you will end up the same way as many other rifle manufacturers have in the past

not a good start to introduce a new rifle,,,, has anyone else had the same problem ???

looks like another company that will turn out unreliable before it even gets off the ground

Think the OP solely referes to the Walther Rotex R8 (RM8) l've heard its going to be renamed (Gun is made in Germany, stock ltaly) .. anyways up, it sounds an ill thought out release of a product from a long establish gun manufacturer. I know its been launch worldwide. The total lack of supposedley availiable .177 calibre is bad form, and misleading. As is the lack of service/accessories point of contact. Quality products are good, but customer satisfaction is more then just product supply "and they have only succeded with 50% of that. The fact people have eagerly awaited for their Walther R8 in .177. to arrive, and having been let down really is disheartening.

Whether this is a Walther problem or Umarex or whoever, really doesnt matter .. what does matter is the dissatisfaction people have had to deal with due to poor supply and customer dissatisfaction ... l hope they understand the bad feeling this is causing amongst potential buyers ... l 'd like to (with relative ease!) Purchase a couple of spare mags "not ones that will suffice, but the original type mags, as came with the R8 .. they, whoever is to blame, need to understand this is causing bad feeling ... Excellent PCP, marred by poor back up and service .. lets hope they realise and soon, thats poor and redress owners and potential purchases concerns.....
