rape flowering

Went out for a couple of hours today in search of some pigeons/crows and to my amazement noticed most winter rape is already out in flower and it's only a few inches tall. And still no birds on it despite the temperature drop. Anyone else having similar problems

A drop in temperature on it's own will not turn pigeons on to rape.

Lots of yellow pimpinel in my parish , is this also called charloc ?

Harnser .

No the two are completely different.

Yellow Pimpernel is a low growing herbaceous perennial whilst Charlock can grow anything up to 1m. Autumn Charlock is usually slightly shorter, spring Charlock, particularly that found growing in spring rape is taller.
