They are around €30 a tub ( not sure how many) I did get some in .22 a few years ago- in a box somewhere. Only thing is, dont have a 9mm to use them in--- ok, thsts a lie- have a Glock 19 but thats a diff matter :-) But, might get a 'little badger' folder with a 43cm barrel for the odd rat we get skulking in the celler. deadeye18 Posted December 5, 2014 Report Share Posted December 5, 2014 An italian fella on youtube did a video of himself emptying the shot from some fiocci 9mm and loading a single .36cal lead ball then trimming the case back.he shot an inch thick wood plank from about 10feet away it went straight through.A lot of folks dismiss the power of these tiny shells.I know id never give mine up theyre really handy guns.Ur a lucky fella owning a pistol by the way!let us know how those slugs perform if you get some.ATB :-) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jaymo Posted December 5, 2014 Report Share Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Lucky in many ways that I can go and buy a rifle or shotgun, through the post if req without any form of restrictions using my simple Target Licence which was ridiculously easy to obtain. For Pistols and Semi auto rifles, aswell as short barrelled shotguns its a more restricted format but still nothing special, no home visit for me as sat with the Chief of Police in his office chatting more about the lousy UK weather etc. Downside is Living part-time in France........ no offence Frenchies, but Home will always be UK. Oh, and Hunting is difficult as in you need to obtain a specific hunting Licence including a practical exam, but then afterwards there are some great places you can stroll around. Round here loads of Boar ( ******* digging in the garden is always a prob and always gives you a jump if you are out in the evening and they are wandering by.) Even things like Personal defence ( cs gas, gas pistols, 12g rubber bullet pistols and taser type devices ) are on free sale. But for all that I dont ever feel like its an unsafe country and these are needed- unlike several major UK cities. Black Powder firearms are also on free sale to anyone over 18- reasoning is, when did you last see **** Turpin? ( yes, I know they can be just as dangerous for those who are thinking it. But we are a shooting forum so Im promoting the positives). Back to the Boar--- I wouldnt eat one that I had prepared myself, too many horror stories of parasites. Friends who shoot them have them sent to specialist butchers who know how to prepare them and what the signs are--- then again being French they prob just shrug their shoulders and chuck in some extra garlic Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Instead of your head over ruling your heart having chance to think about it whilst you apply for a variation- with us, as we can buy anything online I get a bit impulsive- hence the cabinet has several unfired examples...... This shows the effect of the Turkey's shot cartridges on a couple of beer bottles from 10 meters You can also get slugs in 9 mm from Turkey even more effective .......... Seriously though, yes they are tiddly little cartridges, but then thats what a garden gun is all about isnt it? Pop of a rabbit with them or switch to the normal double charges and take the odd squirrel or rat on the move! Was searching sll the French websites last night for the moderated Gaucher bolt action but seems to be sold out- did see a nice OU in .410 that I quite fancy. The CB and BB do have really good power out to 25 meters max, although accuracy is suffering beyond that distance.
