NV on the rabbits

Met up with Dave-G after the best part of 7 years since we last went out shooting together to see how scopeless nv works, After a briefing in the first field on the nv until and how the spotter works we cracked on.

The first couple of fields were blank but it wasn't long until we came to are first customer and he was dispatced and placed on DIY Dave's make shift hanging rack. 7 more rabbits later we decided it was time to get a Charlie in the bag. After getting the truck in a good position and squeaking for a good hour we caught a set of eyes with the spotter and there as clear as day time was mister fox, Dave positioned the rifle and flicked on the nv only for the ir light not to work. Several battery changes later and still no luck we then realised it was probably a Brocken wire so we called it a night .....

Was a great time and I'm now nv hooked only this time we won't be leaving it 7 years until we meet up again

Thanks for coming Jamie - yep it was a good night out with some company that doesn't have to go home early enough to kip for a day shift start. :good:

The 'scopeless' NV rig is very good for two men to use in one car when yer feeling lazy or just fit enough for a kitted up walkabout with breathing relaxed enough for an accurate shot exactly when needed. The shooting partner get to watch the shot too as a bonus.

The remote illuminator switch cable had pulled off a terminal in the tail cap.
