Rifle was zeroed at 300 YDS, so thought I'd better re zero for my muntjac outings on sat, set target (6" x 6" steel plate)out at 150 YDS first few high as expected then after a few clicks on the scope downwards the last 3 shots grouped ok ie side by side.(I was aiming to the left of the hole in the steel plate) all off sticks so I'm pretty pleased( must admit I've been doing some practice with the sticks)

Wish me luck for Sat !,!,,

What is your plan? I have found walking is far more productive than the high seat...It does depend if you have access to the ground, I make a plan on what fresh tracks I've found in that area, then pitch up....

If the ground holds plenty then you can be selective, where I have been shooting mine they were causing problems in an area of re growth.

I have found over time if you want all the meat then high neck works out best, or if it is looking right at you then under the chin...

However you get it enjoy the day....

TEH, thanks for the info mate

IVe got the choice of high seat or a stalk, I'm doing 2 outings at dawn and dusk, I'm relying on the guide to put me into them whether it be high seat or a stalk.ill see what he thinks in the morning( I do prefer the stalking, but have never shot from a high seat before mmmmmmm decisions ,decisions ha ha)

Hopefully I'll have some more venison for the freezer tomorrow,

I'll keep you all informed of how my day went when I get back,

I was thinking of using the 223, but I bought the 243 for deer and have shot red and roe with it, so hopefully I can add a munty to its tally, I believe that they are tough little beggars too, you can never have too much gun can you mate ha ha ha

What do people do with the rest of the day? That's what I am never sure of!! say you drive 100 miles out of you county and shoot for 3 hrs 6-9 then 2.30 till 5pm.

You cant leave the rifle and go wandering into town.....!! so what is your plan...???

I go all day....or out on ground local to me early doors or and hour before the light goes...then come home...never a 5 hour break

Sleep in my truck mate ha ha ha, I also have a cable that runs thru my trigger guard and around my hard case that attaches to my seat mounts( rifle bolt in my pocket)if I need to pop into a shop. I'm hoping the guide might let me have a wander round though??
