pigeon controller
Received a text this morning complaining about crows pulling up the growing crop. I replied that I would be out later in the morning . Arrived at the three fields concerned not a bird in sight, set up on a middle hedge and put out two frozen crows and started the blow the Primos , after about ten minutes a single crow appeared on the horizon and made its way to the call and was shot . This happened for the first six birds in, six birds ,six cartridges, then it went down hill after that as birds started to arrive from the front high and from the back. What was interesting was the resident fifty pigeons who kept feeding on the hawthorns on the side of the railway which bordered the field and lifting off when the trains went through only to return later. Over the day it was the same amount . I shot till 16.00 and picked up fifty one crows and jackdaws and sent a picture and text to the farmer. pigeon controller
interesting net you have, is it home made? Yes, it was a Cold War camo net, and I added various coloured strings and strips of nylon material , it's spring and summer on one side and winter on the other.
