And then shoot 3 in 1 flight!

My 1st, 2nd and 3rd foreshore pinks, following MANY blank trips to various Scottish marshes. Every time they've been too high, too wide, or just not shown up at all. But a little wind tonight brought them low enough for a few shots, and for once, I actually took my chances!

success comes to those that wait...

Success comes to those who do the homework and learn the flight lines

Well done,if you want to shoot pinks/ greys regularly then north Aberdeenshire over coys is the place, but flighted geese much more satisfying. Don't know if you shoot Southport or Preston/Longton wildfowling clubs, but they normally have a lot of geese there.

Maybe I'll have a go decoying them one day, and maybe I'd enjoy it, but I prefer to shoot below the HWM. I enjoy such views...

Im not too far from there and there's plenty of geese round my way, but there's something special about chasing them North of the border.

well done mate... :good::good: ...nothing like getting the first one, they look a good size ....foreshore ones seem a tad more satisfying an all....and yes we do tend to get a good number of pinks on the Ribble and Morecambe bay area...widgeon seem a tad down this year though.....
