I personally wont really bother shooting pigeons when there " flocked up " unless there small flocks , and lots of them ;-) . To be honest im not seeing any real action on the pigeons lately , just seem to be having a Crow explosion though at the moment , which suits me fine .

any way I hope you get lucky mate , fingers crossed for you .

You can shoot me down in flames, but personally, I think this is about the best time of year to get a result on rape, followed by very late spring. Dec, Jan, Feb, they're on it but nigh impossible to decoy. It seems irrelevant want other food sources are available round here. I suspect the plant either tastes good now, compared with late Dec,Jan,Feb, or there is a beneficial nutritional value that urges them to eat it.

Whatever it is, get out there and get some good shooting, before being reduced to a dawn till dusk cold day and 15 birds!!

They are on it big time around gloucestshire now been on it about two weeks

Lucky old you. It only shows how unpredictable it can be. I shoot in the Aust area. 50 miles between us. But all they're doing here is flitting from woodland to woodland. None on the rape. Getting by with a bit of crow bashing and bunnies.
