Well the last few mornings i've had the pinks coming over the house , so i thought i would wait till this morning so myself and uncle Albert could make it down for a flight together , as we've both been busy all week ...

I had roughly worked out where they were coming through , so he picked me up at 5.10 am and within 2 minutes we was at the car park , we sat in the car while 5.40am having a bit of banter with each as you do and having a brew .

We got kitted up and headed off down the bank , we got to where we leave the bank and cut a cross the marsh and the tide had flooded the back of it , so i took the lead and he followed ,the first part was a bit dodgy as it was up to our knees as it was a low spot we had hit but it soon came up and it was around our ankles .

We got to our spot and got the dogs tucked in and loaded up , it seemed along time befere it started to get light .

We had been sat down a good bit when we heard the first pinks , they sounded like they were close within seconds sure enough they was over us Albert was to slow and they were the wrong side for me being a lefty.

By this time there was a lot on the move still very dark ,we heard a few shots come from across the marsh then a single coming wide of us ,i gave a whistle as he called and he came straight at us , i said to uncle albert your bird , he pulled on to it and it folded up and dropped into the river , my dog was away and back in no time .

Then out the blue another single, uncle alberts bird again , Bang 1 more for him ..and retrived by his dog from behind ...

Then my phone went and had to walk back to the bank to sort something out, i left uncle Albert there with a great big grin on his face lol ..

After the flight he walked back up the bank to me and we headed back to the car to get dried off and a brew ..

Happy days

Well done the pair of you ,Phil is having a good season , a good reward for him swimming across those creeks

Out of interest WW could you see the pinks eyes before the shots were taken

i wouldn't of thought uncle Albert did, he struggles to see the end of his Nose , when it's raining with his glasses on ..... it's not bad really his 1st 2 shots with his new auto and 2 pinks in the bag ...

i was off across the marsh on other matters lol
