Big Gnat
Can anyone pass on any tips that might help increase my results, shooting mixed woodland, beach , acorn, elm and pasture. I'm not getting the results I'd expect. I'm using a few deaks and I'm well called.
Mentalmac
Look for droppings under trees to see which ones are regularly used and sit in a position well hidden near by it. Getting into woods a couple of hours before dark and getting in hidden and still... I sat in a open backed horse trailer on the paddock opposite the wood on the edge and as the pigeons seemed to flight in and sit on the tree's nearest the edge of the wood I had a few from doing that. Underdog
Are they there? Or are they not coming down to your shot?
loriusgarrulus
Not come across many pigeons with airguns..... Could have been a Dragoon pigeon. Very old variety, but I think they carry muskets.

Big Gnat
I've plenty places and options mostly woodland, just not having much success. Went out this afternoon but think I was in the wrong place. As soon as you start moving about to relocate everything flies off. I'm thinking about making a few hides , hopefully in the right spot. Underdog
I always have hides ready, natural ones. They must not see anything!
Longbower
If your roost shooting, you have got to be well hidden/camouflaged , and keep movements to a minimum. As above , look for droppings, and get in early , also, find somewhere comfy. If your not comfy, you will fidget, if you fidget , they will see you. Good Luck (Don't forget to modify your point of aim if you are shooting upwards) practice , practice.practice on a dead tree branch.
