Hi all.

The day was fantastic.

The day for me started at 4am even though I did not got to bed until 12:30 am.

So on 3 1/2 hours sleep at 4:45 I started my 200 mile trip up north.

Weather was ok with the rain moving in for the first drive.

But the birds were there, lots of them.

The day ended after 6 drives which produced 28 pheasants with at least 4 birds lost and a hare. All to 5 guns.

We then headed to the duck ponds which was great. That produced another 13 birds - 11 duck and 2 woodcock.

I managed 6 birds my self and at times I felt I could not hit a barn door but I don't care as I had a great day.

Did not managed to get any pics as I either left my phone in the car or it was too wet but most of the time there was just too much shooting to be had :)

The one pic I did get was one of my pup with a sad face as she could not join us in the field ( only 17 weeks old)

I then finally walked back in the door at 9:45 pm last night so a very long day

Michael
