How close is too close?

You're not asking their permission, more telling them what is going to happen and asking if there is any way that you can minimise any issue if there is one in the first place, such as not shooting too early etc.

I know, i'm trying to figure out what could be the outcome if they are not happy... they could call my farmer or the police and complain about the noise maybe?

I would just tell them I will be shooting on X field and say you wanted to reassure them that no shots would be taken in the direction of the house. Can't see it's any of their business beyond that.

Shooting away from the house , especially on a windy day, will lessen any noise nuisance.

I would ask "my" Farmer what the neighbours are like (I have to do that quite a lot), usually the answers "OK", or "I will go and see them".

Sometimes there is a request for a "not too early start", or "not on Sunday", but I wouldn't start before 9am and I don't shoot Sundays anyway.

going off the measurement it says just short of 100 yards and shooting away from it so I can,t see an issue, but early this year a rape field bordered our permission, I asked for permission few years ago and was refused but this time I went to the farm and told him I will be shooting right on the boundary ditch, and would it be ok to collect shot birds that fell on his side and he was fine with that but strictly no shooting over the rape from our side

Get yourself a hushpower 20 bore i use one in these cases that way you can be sure no one gets anoyed by the noise.last year i had thousands of pigeon on my rape field which at times was very hard to decoy due to them using a flight path accross the bottom of the field were a footpath ran then they came up the edge of the field about 70 yds from a loan cottage on the edge of my field and then dropped into a wood behind .so i got under the flight path with the cottage to my back and shot 500 plus from jan to march and the owners of the cottage said they never heard a thing .
