i was looking around the farms to day and was watching one of the hawk kites my farmer friend had set up on a freshly drilled barley field . Whilst I was watching I saw half a dozen rooks flying close and mobbing the kite . Would one of these kites be any good at decoying corvids or better still if it was a woodie decoy flying on the pole would it be any good at decoying pigeons in . Has Any body given it a try ? I was thinking that one of the hawk kites could be painted to look like a pigeon .

I have an 18 foot long, bright orange, octopus kite. If I can get it flying (needs a good wind) at about 150 feet up, it will keep them off about 100 acres!!

Can't guess what you would need to decoy them IN. A nice hologram of a series of birds landing might do it but difficult to arrange!
