Bali
Hi I am about to buy a Crossman Rat Catcher for my son model No 2250b. On line shops say With New Improved Bolt but my gun shop didnt know if it had been changed and when he spoke to his supplier she didn't know either. So my question is how long ago did the improvement happen and do you think there are old types still on the market. The cost will be £134 Cheers Nick
humperdingle
I had one of these briefly... I think you really have to fettle them somewhat and replace a couple of breech parts before they're consistent. I just found it a bit of a faff to be honest, and accuracy was awful. Maybe I just got a bad one. Consider a little break barrel.
amateur
If you Google it, there are several new ones around at lower prices, but, of course, location may be a consideration. A nice choice for a lad, if a little noisy when unsilenced
Bali
Yes location is a problem by the time you pay RFD costs, and if possible I like to support our local man. I am more concerned about this new bolt design which is meant to make for easier loading hopefully someone can tell me if they are all the new design
Airsporter99
Hi Bali. The 2250B hasn't got a new bolt. The new bolt and action is on the new 2250XL which is a useful upgrade and available for £199:00 with a better scope too. The XL also has a longer barrel threaded for a silencer and I tested one at 11 ft/lb the other day. Hope this helps.
