williamr
Hi, I have recently purchased a English s/s, which looks as though it as a burl walnut stock, I do not want to finish the stock with oils or sealers that may darken the stock , so the natural beauty of the stock is lost, I am thinking of using danish oil, would this be suitable? Cheers, williamr.
Rst1990
Any oil you put on will darken the wood slightly. What's on the stock at present? Atb

welshwarrior
If you use an uncoloured stock oil based on BLO it won't darken the to much but all oils will darken it slightly as for sealer a blonde shellac works well.
Guest stevo
I dont use any sealer. It takes a lot longer .... as i weeks and weeks but i think it gives a much better finish . All i use is walnut preparation oil .
