.22 variation question

I have both on my ticket, it says bolt action and semi auto !

Same for me except wording bolt action and self loading.I have "need" for both for rabbit control, use bolt for day/longer range & s/a for night/shorter range:especially useful for new shoots & naive rabbits.

If you can prove need & are willing to pay the variation fee you can have more than one .22lr or any other calibre.

If you want to do a one for one swap, you just apply for a variation and it won't cost you anything - OR - you can apply for a variation to add the semi and still keep the bolt action. That will cost you £26.

Either way, you will need to apply for a variation and you won't be able to buy/sell anything until it comes through.

It's a shame not all police forces read from the same book. Leicestershire police are excellent regarding FAC and just a variation for a .22 LR will do. But I know of other forces who wish you to specify the type of .22 LR also some forces ask you to specify what c/f calibre you intend to buy. Where as my county you can still ask for a .30 cal and have any in that range from 308 to 300wm .
