WelshAndy Posted December 20, 2014 Report Share Posted December 20, 2014 Spent an hour by the river waiting for an evening flight, put out four mallard decoys and sat in the reeds. A few flew past without showing an interest to my calling or the decoys :( then just before 5pm a pair came in. I missed with the first barrel and connected with the second, nice drake mallard. Wasn't long after a single bird came in and it folded to the shot but what topped it all was ........ About 5.20pm it was dark (well to dark for my eyes) and I could hear mallard calling so with a few blows on the call they committed to the decoy pattern. Ryan said he could see them (I could only hear them!) he fired a shot and that was followed by a splash We were well chuffed with the flight and now tucking into natures KFC Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
