wildfowler.250
Managed to drop this guy yesterday. Was standing on a pheasant drive when I heard a jay screeching in the woods ahead of me. It flew out to my right hand side and I managed to fold it with the first shot. Seem to be seeing more of them in the last two years. They're bonnie birds! Edited December 21, 2014 by wildfowler.
fenboy
Lovely birds , but very destructive and always difficult to get a shot at most of the time.

wildfowler.250
Lovely birds , but very destructive and always difficult to get a shot at most of the time. Yeah they're quite crafty. Heard them on a few occasions but this is the first time I've managed to get a shot at one. Great piccie well done on shooting that jay.... Wot gun is that in the photo? Looks nice. It's the old mans beretta 20 bore. Handled a few similar guns in 12 bore on shoot days but think the 20 is much better balanced.. Id make sure you get the blood off quick as it ruins bluing if left on there Ta, gave the gun a wipe after the picture
