Dougy
If you go the go pro road I know you can (on wifi models) view the image via the gopro app on a mobile. Not sure about other camera's. Head mounted avoids tne recoils for obvious reasons.
HuskyRich
Drift!GoPro actually stole the wifi feature from the Drift Ghost HD. Bloody gopros and their fanboy hype Also with the Drift they do a pretty neato shoulder mount harness do-dar-thingy that will give you a pretty neat angle and line of sight down the gun. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DRIFT-HD-GHOST-SHOULDER-MOUNT-FITS-DRIFT-HD-GHOST-DRIFT-HD-720-DRIFT-HD-/221300600249?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item33868b2db9 plus the usual head mount http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Drift-Head-Strap-Mount-/161507532990?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item259a9960be I will admit though the new Drift Stealth isn't particularly good, but the Drift Ghost HD and Ghost S are fantastic. I use them both on my motorbikes (on road and on the track) and also when off-roading. I can't fault them. Either that or you could go down the bullet cam route and attach a bullet cam to your barrel which would be pretty cool. If you have a pump or semi auto with a picatinny rail then you can also get rail mounts for all the leading cams. Dougy
Maybe if the Drift had a similar marketing manager to "GoPro" then i may have bought one of there,s instead, until you mentioned them i had never heard of "drift"
snow white
If you put the camera on your head how do you now were the camera is looking
HuskyRich
Well action cameras usually have a pretty decent field of view so unless it's pointing WAY off you'll be alright.though most of these new cameras such as the drifts and gopros have wifi so you can connect them to your phone and actually see where its pointing. Also they (some of them anyways) have screens so you can get a good idea. Or just take a shot, review the footage and adjust as necessary. Eventually you'll just know by experience what's right. this is a quick screenshot to show the field of view on the drift ghost HD from some footage I got a week ago. As you can see you'd have to aim it pretty off to not get a shot in view.

HDAV
As are the panasonic Recoil will effect your head! Loose 1-2 frames on a proper setup gun mounted. Or none but that's luck the powder smoke will blur a couple out.
HuskyRich
If you're shooting at 60 fps it makes things a hell of a lot smoother. I don't notice much, if any of a problem when I have my drifts mounted on my helmet or handlebars etc. when motocrossing or when attached to my motor offroading which lumps and jerks around quite a lot. my mate even mounts his gopro on his fork legs which take a right battering off-road and that's pretty darn smooth. HuskyRich
I got my ghost in 2012. they were initially slated to be released mid 2012 but ended up being shipped in the last quarter.I got mine way before the 'official' release day though as I'm affiliated with a certain online outlet and do a lot of online content so end up getting early trial release goodies to try out and if I like, I keep for a small fee in return for advertising the business
