Clydebuilt
Gents Am I going mad & over thinking what seems a very simple & straightforward installation..? Do I simply remove the lowest grub screw (furthest right on my terrible picture) and replace with the pin on my QD swivel once fitted to the barrel & therefore leaving the upper grub screw (closest to the barrel) in situ to provide the clamping torque? Cheers
pmruk
I have just put one like this on my air arms pro sport and the way it tells you in the instruction is to put it round the barrel and fit and tighten the screw on the left in your photo then the one on the right and it says you are looking to have the gap parallel and evenly spaced but has not worked out like that for me, I was a bit reluctant to trust hanging my gun off it but does seem to be ok and have been told by a guy that recommended it to me that he has had his on for a few years and has never budged. fenboy
I cannot remember off the top of my head , I will have a look when I get home from work tonight if you have not had a answer , mine was fitted by following the instructions , did you not have any ? I can remember it recommended some loctite inside the band before fitting.
Underdog
I hate these type! Fitted many to my lever actions over the years, they all move! U :-(
Stevenjdowd
Be sure to use some rubber inner tube or black electrical tape to stop blueing damage or inevitable rust as metal on metal will trap moisture.
