shogun or landcruiser

No thoughts apart from remembering the shogun kid chaining up to a series one Landy and starting to drag it across the field, laughing his head off. It soon took the grin off his face when the Landy owner managed to get aboard, started her up, and promptly reversed the situation!

you're gonna get more for your money with a shogun, ive had 3 pajeros and two shoguns but the price of a landcruiser has put me off as they are usualy a few grand more for similar mileage and year, the only expensive shogun bill i have had in ten years was the crank dampener on mine which was a painfuly expensive repair but about 8 hours of that was labour(just over a grand from a mitsubishi dealer) otherwise they have never got stuck or missed a beat, tyres can be a bit pricey though, about £200 a corner for my 2007 one and nearly £500 a year in road tax

got a 120 LC on 54 reg-they have had issues with injector seals-most were done on a warranty recall.

service at Mr T is about £260 for intermediate. tyres about £90-145 the latter being for BFG's

get 30-32 mpg around doors.

does everything I need and they do retain their value very well.

I had a 2001 which ended up rotting from the inside out. I have a 2010 one now and thats a nice enough car.

Parts are really expensive for them and i seem to go through brake dics and pads like there is no tomorrow. They are a thirsty motor and you wont see much more than 23mpg combined.

On the upside they drive really nice, they pull trailers and caravans with ease and are pretty handy off road.

+1 07 120 series on 135k, When they did the injector seals on ours, i asked about the injectors as well, some of the TLOC forum members were complaining that the injectors were noisey. They checked them and said they were in spec but would ask Toyota UK anyway.

Despite being 2 years out of warranty, they changed them!
