Hi all still getting into pigeon shooting been setting up my hide in most hedgerows had a few good days on flight lines but on when on the rape seed i see the pigeons like to feed more happy in middle of fields or near the side of roads where you cannot shoot my question is, do most of you setup where you see them feed in middle of field or try to decoy them to you, which works best Cheers for replies.

If they are feeding in the middle of a field you could try to get under the flight line that takes them to the middle. Setting up in the middle can have its problems ie lack of available cover to set up a hide etc. but it can be done and some have had good bags out in the middle

In my experience, extra cover is not necessary. Just try setting a normal square hide with netting.

Yes a was looking at the flight line but it was next to the road & they know it they are so confident were to feed. I was going to try more in the middle with my rotary, should have got a flapper from reading on here seem the way to go,

Absolutely agree, when I set up in the middle of open space I simply match the colour of my hide to the surroundings as near as possible, I have 4 nets with different colour, I just put the one on the outside that is near to the colour of the crop, as long as you keep still and don't move until the bird is in range you will get good results, especially if you get movement into the decoy pattern either with flappers , which I prefer , or magnets and bouncers / floaters. have a look at the 'Andy Crow / Crowman' videos on youtube, he often sets up well away from the hedge to get all round vision,:yes:
