Engine / gearbox mounts? 1995 Audi coupe

Yes, but not on an Audi. Took me and a mate a whole day to change both engine mounts and gearbox mount on an MGB Roadster. Never again...

What in theory should be quite straightforward to jack under sump (brace with wood across width of sump pan) and switch out the mounts invariably seemed to find any and all reasons not to be so easy - rusted bolts that had to be removed with a chisel, various components requiring removal to give clearance to swap the mounts themselves, finding innovative ways to access the uppermost gearbox mounting nuts which have almost zero clearance against the transmission tunnel.

Add to this all the usual skinned knuckles and rust in your eyes from working underneath the car - what's not to like??

If you decide to DIY then best of luck.
