krwigan
Shame you're not closer, I've got a BSA lightning here that would be perfect for the job and around the £100 mark Personally I wouldn't touch a smk but maybe some other members on here have had good results with one. GingerCat
For about 40 quid (New) the all b2 break barrel rifle will do all all you need to about 15 yards with ease. Maybe more, Its been a long time since I shot one but it was good for the price and limited range.

Carman06
They have two cross man rat catchers in local RFD. Second hand for about £109 if memories serves.
secretagentmole
The XS19 is an HW clone and not bad for the money (can be made much better with a Welsh Willy trigger). They are available from under £100 and with a bit of a strip down, polish and fettle can be made into good rifles. Evo knows what I would recommend for only a few quid more though Edited February 13, 2015 by secretagentmole

secretagentmole
Basically it is a Webley Stingray Mk 2 Littlerob. LW barreled, quattro triggered, auto safety (a la HW) and walnut stocked. Not a small rifle either! I likes them so much I have one in my Spring powered selection! krugerandsmith
what about the hatsan brake barrels like the hatsan 60 there about 100 new Anyone tried the Hatsan 44 Pump Action?
bruno22rf
If you are going to tape a Hammer to a broom handle and use it at longer ranges then you will need sights of some sort to help with accuracy down range-try Blue Tacking an empty toilet roll to the weapon. p.,s. you might want to patent the idea before Daystate copy it and and start selling tham at £1000+
secretagentmole
Anyone tried the Hatsan 44 Pump Action? Not a pump action, lever action. Sidelever magazine fed PCP mechanism, similar to Webley Raider 10 (built by the same company). Auto safety (can be a pain), quickfill, non regulated and a little prone to a loud ping on firing. Some have had burs on magazines leading to inaccuracy and also a couple of reports of bad rifle crowns doing the same. A lot of happy owners though who seem to think it is second best only to an HW100 only about £400 cheaper! You get two magazines and it even has fibre optic sights on it just to make it usable straight out of the box. A hell of a lot of gun for the money and with shopping around the cheapest PCP on the market. I had one of the early ones and to be honest it was a great gun. My first PCP. I prefer the walnut stocked version though the synthetic stocked is cheaper. Mine was accurate, with a silencer fairly quiet (certainly down to BSA Ultra noise levels). It was reliable and the only reason I swapped it was that the wife decided she did not like her Daystate X2 and let's be honest who would not swap an AT44 for an X2? (That last bit will make Evo happy). Edited February 15, 2015 by secretagentmole
TaxiDriver
I've had a Gamo CFX (an under lever) and wish I hadn't sold it I have a Stoeger X20 Suppressor and it's nice to handle and I like its' plastic coated/textured barrel BUT, It's fairly clunky when fired :(
