As above, any horror stories?

I need a seven seater because I've had had far too many offspring.

The land rovers fill me with fear, I've read you get good ones, some are terrible costing x amounts and above all no seven seater to ferry my clan about.

It may do a bit of soft roading, sheep feeding etc but we have a 'proper' 4x4 on the farm for other stuff.

My line of work,

I pick up a few now and then, but not as many as I do BMW X5's or Mercedez ML series

Thanks for that, they talk about older versions though.

Can't help too much on newer ones, older ones I have worked on have been(in my eyes)generally better bets than LR,VW etc.For a newish 7 seater alternative a Hyundai Santa Fe can be an economical if not fashionable alternative.

I would suggest this too as there is a full 5 year warranty on all parts and you will pay maybe £35K max for an absolute top of the range. I have had Hyundai for 10 years and will be getting my new one soon. Fuel wise they do maybe 35 on average, not too bad. Certainly worth a look at least.

I had a 10 plate manual version, (now discontinued), I did over 60 k in it and it was the most comfortable car I have ever driven.

They are expensive to service, but a joy to drive on a motorway with the cruise control, expect no more than 30mpg, I had no serious problems with mine.

I have an 07 fully loaded shogun to sell ? Haven't advertised it yet but it has 70,000 miles, every toy and is only being sold as the Mrs does 4 miles each way to work in it sitting in traffic now, 7 seater, dvd, MP3, sat nav, Dolby surround sound etc all as standard, £11,500, had new tyres last year and drives faultlessly , been up and around the highlands twice now in it and would happily drive it anywhere
