steve_b_wales
Hi All, What are your most successful calls, and do you prefer a set volume level. The vixen 2 weeks ago came in to "Nutty Nut munch" on volume 16 Thanks Ade It was probably hard of hearing and vegetarian! Using a caller depends, sometimes, on the time of year. When foxes are busy looking for a mate, using a squeaking sound does'nt seem to interest them, but using a Vixen on heat or Vixen mating call, can produce good results. Leaving the volume on high can have the opposite effect on them too. Their hearing is vastly superior to ours (especially mine!) so sometimes leaving the volume on a lower setting can get results. Archie-fox
Distressed pheasant on volume setting 3 has worked the best for me... Then I always put on the hare call on full volume for the last 5 mins of lamping and that has worked in the past... Depends on what's in the area you lamp really...
