bobby b
Am I right in thinking that you don't need to fire heavy loads through a new pump to break it in as theres no cycling system? Thanks folks
Scully
I didn't know any action needed breaking in, but I would have thought all actions will have received a much heavier load than any of us will be putting through them at the proof house. Fire away I say.

Richie092
One of the first carts I used with my super nova were 21gm comp x. You cycle it yourself so it doesn't matter how light the charge is.

a303
Poor manufacturing. Breaking them in is essentially taking all the high spots off internal parts and the internals polishing themselves during use. Along with working the springs. Quality autos shouldn't require any break in. Only brand spanning new auto I bought was a Benelli M2. Fired 24g eley firsts from the word go. No break in required. Breastman
Depends what you mean by 'breaking in'. Most pumps run much slicker after a few years use (or abuse)!
theshootist
It's no different to the break in period on a new car really. Parts bedding in to their working tolerances through use.
