Use a Teague choke key to nip up exteded chokes - no need for cut outs in the choke which can easily burr.

the extended chokes shouldn't really need nipping up with a key - hand tight should be enough but check regularly - however don't forget the axle grease on the threads - use very little - and dont have the grease oozing from the threads into the barrel - that should put a stop to "loosening" chokes. Comma Multipurpose Lithium Grease is fine no need for "choke grease" that costs a fortune.

My original Hatsan chokes would work loose after a while but the muller choke I have now doesn't.

if the build quality of your hatsan chokes were the same as mine then its enough said - hatsan chokes cost peanuts in comparison to the likes of teague, muller etc
