Dinitrol or Waxoyl or anything else ?

When I had my old Defender I used to have it waxoyled regularly. I am thinking of getting the Wolf a good clean and rust proofing treatment. I have heard Dinitrol treatment is supposed to be very good now.

Is Dinitrol better than Waxoyl or are there any other good products around too. It will have to go to somewhere to have it done. Can anyone reccomend a complete rust proofing treatment and anywhere that is reliable to do it around Cheshire or nearby Counties.

You are correct in thinking that waxoil is rubbish. Its messy, runs off in summer and makes working underneath a nightmare. Dinitrol very good but you need to use 3125 first then go over with 4941/car to give a tough finish. It will work out quite expensive as there are so many places to put 3125 such as inside the sills, all the wheel arches, around fuel tank, behind front wings and all the floor pan and chassis. You will probably need half a dozen. If you don't mind alot of preparation to the vehicle the epoxy primer or por-15 are the best coatings to use, but not always suitable do to time and effort needed to prepare.

The procedure these state looks good. Bit of a donkey ride to Spalding and they want the car 2 days, but might be worth the trip.Could take both vehicles and the caravan and have a holiday in Lincolnshire. :)

Thanks for the offer, but wildfowling is not my thing. Prefer the mud to be no more than ankle deep. :)

It's not all mud and gunge, some parts are more like a grass field.

Ps I normally use waxoyl seems to do the job.

Found this review. It also has a link to exterior wax review as well.

The second one on the list is the dinitrol 3125 I mentioned previously, rustbuster just rebrand It

If you refer to my previous post and get the two dinitrol products you can use a local garage with a ramp and compressor. Just make sure it's 100% dry before application.
