leadbreakfast
Has anybody done or know how to convert my a303 into a fac, I'm looking at buying a sct1 but if it can be done will just convert the 303. I have only striped it down as far as the mag tube where you are left with the thread and the slot on the end but not sure if that just unscrews. Any info would be great
mowdy
If you can get the tube of the action (may need a little heat to help unless tube is pinned to action) then slide a 17mm socket on a long bar down the tube until you reach the crimp and then tap the socket past the crimp with a big hammer simple's this works on tubes that are open at both ends. not sure if the 303 tube is though. You could weld a socket on a bar with a lug on it so you could knock the socket back the way it went in It this fails just buy a new tube from Gmk Mowdy Edited February 28, 2015 by mowdy
a303
The little hole in the end of the mag tube, depress the spring then undo the mag cap/shaft which the gas piston rides on. Watch out for the mag spring shooting across the room. You'll need either a new mag tube or the crimp in the mag tube removing. After that you'll be able to stuff 3 in the mag and 1 in the chamber. Is It worth all the effort to gain 1 extra round and in the process you WILL devalue your 303. If you look at guntrader etc you will see that section 1 301-303 are a lot cheaper than section2. There's no way to extend the mag capacity past 3.

To be fare not worried what it's worth and need to fill the slot

leadbreakfast
Right got the mag tube striped down, when I took the end cap off there was a yellow spacer about the size of a cartridge then the spring. Don't I just take this out? Can't see a crimp in the tube or anything.
BlaserF3
Has your magazine a Proof House stamp on the magazine tube? If not it might be a gun which had not been crimped and stamped
TDS
The plastic insert is the mag tube capacity restrictor...A303 is Italian proofed not British proofed..Beretta has their own proof house in the factory...hence no crimps... When new the gun would have had a small card included in the box stating that the gun had been factory restricted to comply with UK gun laws and no modifications should be made...I still have mine somewhere... Sound job I'll take it in to rfd and get them to swap it to fac and save the spacer incase I sell it. Thanks guys
