D0DGY
Hi Guys, Only been pigeon shooting a couple of times so im still working it all out. It's obvious that staying out of sight of the pigeons is key but what about sound? Clearly a shotgun bang scares them off but what about a normal conversation or other mid level noise in the hide? Does it put them off / stop them decoying. Cheers,Tom
wymberley
Not a problem. I make a lot of noise - usually shouting the same two words immediately after firing a shot and often twice in succession.

DEADLY PLUMBER
Movement is the key. Keep still. Keep your face concealed. As for noise I often have a small radio so I can listen to the football or cricket. Or I'm telling my young Cocker to keep still and stay. Westley
I tried the radio but found it scared the birds away. Not sure if it was the noise of the radio or if they could see me dancing in the hide, they certainly did not like it though.

pigeon controller
We have never considered being quiet in the hide, only keeping still is the main objective. Crows are able to detect noise so we keep quiet when they approach. The only words you do not want to hear are" don't miss this one" with the normal reply Rowlocks!!!!!!!! NickB65
Movement for pigeons is keys keep still ..... as for noise.... well I am always talking to the dog, my late dad, occasional chat to the man upstairs and the odd expletive :-) If I had to keep still and quiet I am not sure I could..... the pigeons do not seem to care..... either way they fly in have a laugh and fly out :-) apart from the daft ones that come back a second time and they do tend to stay :-)
