Anybody done any Smoking rats out ?

We tried up the farm and Nothing came out

We used a chain saw with Far too much oil in the fuel , put a pipe from the exhaust in a busy looking hole , blocked it up to be sure the fumes went right in

LOADS of smoke coming out the holes , filled the woods with smoke

Not a Rat in Sight !!!!!!!!!!!!

Am i doing sommat wrong ?

IMO a rich oil mix & putting too much smoke down the holes can kill them underground. Still should get them bolting though. Try running the engine with a normal mix, give the revs a minute then kill the engine & be quiet. I find they bolt far more readily this way....

Well we are giving it a go next week with the chain saw modification, it has workd in the past so fingers x.

Down side is they are under a chicken hut and holes every where but hopefully will bolt into the shot patterns?

Tried them 2 nights ago with n/v, started well but they soon got the message and traffic died down, but they have got to go.
