A Little Bit Of Jam

I was in the estate office this afternoon after just dropping off 50 pigeons in to the chiller when the estate manager asked me if I wanted some cartridges as he has been sorting out the office . I never say no to free cartridges ( the estate supplies me with shells for pigeon shooting ). And the estate manager hands me a couple of bags of cartridges. To my surprise when I open the first bag it has seven boxes of shells , two Eley firsts in steel no 7 ( not sure what I am going to do with those ) , but better still the other four boxes are 36 gr Tungsten no 3. What a result. Tungsten is like gold dust these days. The second bag is a real assortment with about 40 cartridges including Tungsten no 5s , Bismuth no 5s, a hand full of Hull Solway 3 inch no 1 steel and some Kent 3 inch steel , but the writing is worn off so not sure which type of Kent steel , but one I have never seen before, plus 3 RC 40gr no 2s which I suspect are lead.

It looks like that’s my non toxic shells sorted for the side by side for next season .
