Sorry if this has been asked before, what does everyone use to carry their birds from the field? I've not shot significant numbers yet for this to be a problem but forewarned is forearmed an' all that!

Royal Mail sacks.

I use different colours too, pink for frozen ones used as decoys and grey ones for fresh shot.

I use the same but i recently asked the royal mail man for a few of his grey large letter sacks which are also good.

Is it easy to get hold of these?

We've got a grey one someone gave Dad years ago which is brilliant, 50/60 go in no bother and find them easy to carry! Could do with another couple ideally.

Go to the post office and ask, tell them that you have sold a few things on ebay and need something to bring them back to the PO in.

I get as many as I want from work. If you have trouble, pm me with your address and I send you a couple.

I have used the old canvas post bags that the postmen used to deliver the letters with as a game bag , they lasted for years and when they got a bit ropey a mate of mine who was a post man used to swap my old one for one of the new ones the students were given that were employed just for the Christmas rush . I have still got one in the shed that I used last season .

As the Pink bags , I have never seen them......touch wood :lol: but I have got some of the Grey ones with the metal rings on top and even with constant use they will out live me without a shadow of doubt .

I use a carp sack to keep flies of on hot days but to carry from field i use army rug sacks they are round and just have one carry strap

but you can fit 35 birds in each bag no problem always take at least 4 in the motor but they are not all used.

mores the pity .. :unhappy::lol:

PS

I found with the grey postal bags they didn't last long before the bird beaks started to tear holes in them..
