Mutiny
If you have an FAC Airwolf can you set it up, or have it set so that on the low power setting it is 12ft/lbs?
NathanM
I think that the low power setting is 70% of high power, but could be wrong
Salop Matt
No the electric rifles cant be set to 12ftlb as the internals are different parts being a FAC rifle. ATB Matt
spready
Only on that will do it is the MVT FAC, but don't really see many of them available
evo
Nathan and salop are correct on this, the airwolf mct has 2 power levels, one is full power and the other is as said 70% of full power,so for it to be lowered to 12ftlb then high power would be 16ftlb approx.,,not worth it really Edited March 19, 2015 by evo
Salop Matt
Bob, I am right in saying the internals are also different on electric rifles between Sub-12ftlb and FAC Modles ?
Mutiny
Nope not worth it if the power difference is only 30% between high and low. Pity really as then one gun could do two jobs. Thanks guys
psycho
I have an airwolf mvt fully adjustable it is adjusted in feet per second from 500 to 1200 it adjusts to a maximum for the pellet at around 40 foot lb an example is an air arms field I can adjust and fire one of them from 8 up to 41.8 foot pound I usually set mine at 920 feet per second which if I use air arms field 15.9 grain which equates to 30 foot lb if I change the pellet to a bisley magnum the gun will fire that at 920 which due to the weight of the pellet means it is fired at 40 foot lb and it means I can fire a heavier pellet with exactly the same trajectory so I don't have to change my holdover it uses more air at the higher powers at full power around 70 shots at low power around 700 the fps is shown after each shot on a built in chrono and usually is within 2 fps to change the power youvturn it on holding the trigger till it beeps 4 times then set the power on the readout turn off turn on and ready to fire .. It can then take half a dozen shots to stabalise . once stabalised its a very accurate rifle it was and still is the most technically advanced air rifle in the world.there was not many made they were very expensive to buy and owners don't sell them as they can't buy anything to replace it that's as good Edited March 19, 2015 by psycho
Mutiny
Aha so it's possible to get a Daystate that does it then. was not many made they were very expensive to buy and owners don't sell them as they can't buy anything to replace it that's as good Haha for some reason a lot of things I buy or want to buy fit into one of those categories! I'll just keep an eye on gunwatch etc

Haha for some reason a lot of things I buy or want to buy fit into one of those categories! I'll just keep an eye on gunwatch etc The early ones are easy to identify from the later ones the early model has the pressure gauge for the bottle on the left hand side on the later ones the pressure is shown on the display at the back. Both are fully adjustable maintenance consists of plugging a charger in once a month. I have put 1000s of pellets through mine with no problem accurate with all pellets..not pellet fussy at all the most interesting being the h&n ftt greens as they are so light they can travel at 1200 fps so you get a sonic bang from an air rifle Edited March 19, 2015 by psycho
evo
Bob, I am right in saying the internals are also different on electric rifles between Sub-12ftlb and FAC Modles ? the seals certainly are mate, there are a few differences but not many, its mainly the components that will have to cope with the stress of being a higher power level
