mel b3
good evening gents , my good lady is about to start making leather pellet pouches , i thought id ask here what type is preferable , either , around the neck on a string/lanyard , or , with belt loops ?. once she knows what type is best she will make a couple , id like a couple of guys to have a free sample and test them out and report back , give me a shout if you want one to trial (only a couple please gents and only guys that will be out in the field actually using them) cheers for any input gents. mel

fenboy
I prefer round the neck and half moon shape is best . But why not make them with a detachable leather lace type strap and a belt loop on the back Edited March 22, 2015 by fenboy

But why not make them with a detachable leather lace type strap and a belt loop on the back thats just given us an idea , a longer than normal belt loop that sticks up above the pouch , it can either be worn on the belt or a lace added

Salop Matt
I have a round the neck one (Wilkins) so would happily review a belt pouch one ? I suspect a belt pouch one would be better for me! ATB Matt

mel b3
hiya guys , her good self has made these today , shes done her sums and can sell them at a fiver including the cost of postage , she could make them in many different ways but after discussing it we decided to try these as a starting point , any positive input is welcome , but , bear in mind that some changes may also add extra costs , these will come with a lanyard so that they can be worn around the neck , or , it can be easily removed and used with the belt loop , theyve been made with the softest leather that she has so that they feel ok if theyre worn next to the skin . the trial pellet pouches are sitting in envelopes and will be posted tomorrow , we look forward to hearing your comments guys. Salop Matt
Nicely done there, defiantly got the shape right with no corners for the pellets to sneak into ! ATB Matt
Les*1066
I've used this type of pouch for years - very cheap and very effective:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRAVEL-SECURITY-NECK-WALLET-SAFETY-POUCH-Passport-Money-Case-Bag-Purse-Holder-/311298055910?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item487acf5ee6

mel b3
Nicely done there, defiantly got the shape right with no corners for the pellets to sneak into ! ATB Matt that was the thinking behind the shape , the belt loop was also made longer/bigger so that when its on a belt , the pellets wont drop out if the shooter is shooting from the prone position , the pouch should still be able to hang in an almost vertical position.(i hope) ,
