yes but its 2+1 as if you put 3 in the mag its illegal even if the chamber is left empty. possible but stupid with a 3 1/2" gun

If you look at the act, you will see that it is the magazine capacity that defines what is permitted on a SGC. Anything over 2 becomes FAC.

Surely if the shop believes that strongly it has to go on a FAC he won't sell the gun to some-one with a SGC. I wouldn't trust buying a air pistol from some-one with this kind of knowledge, go elsewhere the mind boggles.

 

With regards the Clay ground if you have any concerns make a polite phone call and ask them, never had any problems shooting mine in various different grounds.

I doubt that was ever said in the shop. After all, it wouldn't take long for the boss to realise he wasn't selling any pumps or semi-autos.
