If you haven't already removed the bead. Use some fishing braid or strong thread and with the braid pulled tight and a sawing action you can take the bead off and most of the glue with it. Just need some solvent to remove the little bit that remains.

Isopropynol should do it, I have a easyhit sight and a really love it as it really helped my shooting so why do you want rid of it?

because i dont need one, i look at the target not the end of my gun, my gun points where i look, one of them could draw my eye away from the target and to the end of my gun.

thats my thoughts on them?

How about warming it up before you chuck bucket loads of aggressive chemicals over your barrels

Thats how we remove door mouldings from cars at work I'm pretty sure the sticky stuff is the same

Hot air gun or hair drier keep it moving when its nice and warm (just about too hot to touch) it should come off quite easily
