Albert 888
Through some lead down the range to sight in the winchester,I was impressed again. Loaded 38sp and 357 didn't weigh every charge, just used the powder thrower. New heads and sighting in just a bit more tweaking to do at 100 next. Thanks again Underdog, the new sights are great. Underdog
I am so pleased to see it still operating. Thanks for showing the results. What are the loads mate? U.
Albert 888
The winchester is definitely a keeper,it relieves the boredom of looking through a scope at 25yrds,oh and smoke comes out of the end and you get a big boom:-) . I used up your old ammo the magnum loads shot high and a reasonable group, and your subs shot a very good group. My loads where using 10g of blue dot and magnum primers with the 177g fmj rn and 158g lead cast 158g rnfp. I reduced the load down to 7.5g of blue dot for the 38Specials with the 158g lead cast rnfp's. The 38sp groups where best along whith your subs.Need to move the poa left a touch, this should show up better at 100. Thanks Again.
Underdog
Cool. Bet the blue dot@10g is sneaking on a bit. Keep a camera with you:-). U.
Imperfection
I too have a Winchester and have found 7 grains of Blue Dot with a 158g hard cast RNFP works very well. Alternately, if thats not available- 9 grains of 2400 or 6 grains of Unique. I didnt get on with Bullseye.
