wraivi
I'm after a new synthetic auto, for a general purpose do everything gun, and have come across this gun. I read the old posts from last year on here and was wondering how those owners are getting on with the guns. Has anyone purchased an Affinity recently ? There is not alot on them in the uk gun press, or uk based reviews, but the yanks seem to like them. I just wanted to hear some opinions from any members who have, or had one. Thanks. cueball
Had a look at one in a shop. Warranty and price really caught my eye Plus I was told in the shop they would take steel. Only thing that put me off was that they were an oddity in the uk and I thought if it broke I would be waiting ages for parts. Overall it seemed a good all rounder. (Just a bit light for clay)
wraivi
The warranty and price are a big 'plus', but I havent had a chance to look at one in the flesh. Thanks for your input.
johnphilip
I have had one for about 8 months now. Lovely gun i had a armsan 612s before the wife claimed it. The only problem i had was it shoots a little high. The shims did not help google it and have a read about altering the stock. I spent a couple of days taking it to bits in the end i made a wedge shim to fit. It shoot nice now i like a point of aim gun. It does have a lovely feel about it. wraivi
I have been keen, just want to have a look at it in the flesh, there are a few in shops a fair way from me, so might take a drive on the weekend. Most people with them seem perfectly pleased. Thanks for all the replies chaps.
johnphilip
the gun is quite light compared to say the armsan 612 . when if first picked it up it was a strange feeling, it just felt so perfect for me, the wife tried it and found it did not suit her, it has a slight high rib, think thats was one of the first things i liked about it . it just seems to come up right everytime . i know this may sound a bit daft but its like hold an overgrown air rifle if that makes any sense. Caravanman
Does anyone know how it is with 28g loads. The literature says its for 32g loads.
johnphilip
Does anyone know how it is with 28g loads. The literature says its for 32g loads. When i am clay bashing with it it shoots 28 fine, i have shot some 24gram steel with it on the clays cos i got them cheap. I even tried a couple of 54grams felt very little recoil, i was very supprised. ? it is a lovely gun nice and easy to strip.treat yourself. Caravanman
I really think I will treat myself. Had a Franchi 712 when they first came out and couldn't fault it.
Guest cookoff013
i think they are like a sporter version of the M2, but franchi based. i actually looked at one very seriously but i ended up with a similar gun anyway. i ended up with a Benelli comfort. it states on the box 32g minimum, however i stripped and oiled it then went out and did 100x rc sipe, and about 200 24g lead loads, not a stoppage. on later outings i did make it jam once, but that was with a 21g load. it wont run those. but i`d be doing decent fast or large shells anyway. i do not regret the benelli, i would buy another instantly if i needed....
