evo
hi guys and gals,,as some of you know I have nearly bought shares in the daystate factory ,,lol, anyway,,i ve been testing the Airwolf and Air ranger in a side by side comparison and accuracy tests,, I have not been surprised by the results from the Airwolf but the Air ranger really has exceeded my expectations, I decided to use jsb,s and AA pellets for the tests and was using the 4.52,s and 4.53,s, the target card was set at 47yrds and lets not forget both these rifles are sub 12ftlb,, the Airwolf is running at 11.4ftlb and the Air Ranger is running 11.6ftlb, both rifles where filled to there max SWP (safe working pressure), I had a slight wind running from right to left but nothing was too strong, I decided to shoot ten shot groups with both rifles using the 4.52,s and 4.53,s now for the results, Air Ranger and the Airwolf as you can see the groups are pretty decent I then decided afterwards to take them out for an hour and use my popup hide to see how they performed, well they both performed well with the ranger taking crows out to 50yrds approx. and the Wolf likewise, its safe to say that both rifles are performing superb but the Air Ranger really has opened my eyes at just how accurate it is, I stripped it down and replaced all the seals with new ones and it has performed flawlessly since,, well now back to more pellet testing tommorrow Edited April 8, 2015 by evo

shinybum
nice shooting evo, been getting some excellent groups with wolverine but think a visit to daystate will be on the cards if power level does not increase on running in, and also action moving in stock, i see you have sling swivels on your ranger stock, is the front one ok there and does the rifle carry ok as the swivel really needs to be further forward ? evo
nice shooting evo, been getting some excellent groups with wolverine but think a visit to daystate will be on the cards if power level does not increase on running in, and also action moving in stock, i see you have sling swivels on your ranger stock, is the front one ok there and does the rifle carry ok as the swivel really needs to be further forward ? hi shinybum,, yes mate the reason I fitted the front swivel there is because if its any further forward then when you fit the bipod it overhangs the front of the stock,,also the wood in the stock is thicker also so there is no chance of going right through with the front stud, on my huntsman classic the factory fitted stud was way too far forward ,,it was fine with a sling but I found it difficult to put a bipod on due to it overhanging the stock,,i tried all sorts of bipods and non would fit,,in the end I put a bipod on the rifle and marked it , then dremmeled the bipod so it was 2mm short of the end of the stock,, where the stud is on the ranger is fine and it carries well with the bipod with sling attached, no problems thus far Atb Evo Belas
