Davyo Posted April 10, 2015 Report Share Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) Any one been and hired a car near Binibeca,Menorca?We have got a taxi from the airport with returns,because I don't have/use credit cards so i couldn't hire a car through Thomas Cook as all the likes of HERTZ ext require a booking with a credit card.Don't want to get a credit card just for the sake of car hire.I only require a car for about 3 days during our stay ( another reason for not getting an airport car is if I had a car for the duration Id spend 10 days bloody driving).Is there any where where I can just walk in and hire or have a car brought to the villa.Any advise or recommendation would be appreciated. He paid cash and didn't need a credit card. http://www.poppycars.co.uk Another one that doesn't need CC is Doncars. I booked a car for when I was in Rotterdam the other week and my colleague and I turned up to the Enterprise bit and this ugly little dog poo brown Twingo turned up and it was ours... yuck. Albeit it was brand new and only done 9km's haha. (Not surprising considering the colour) You very likely know but do ensure you are very careful to look for any marks on the car, especially little ones and in weird and obscure places. I've been in many an argument in other countries with hire places with marks even on exhausts haha. mickyh Posted April 17, 2015 Report Share Posted April 17, 2015 Thing is you quite often pick up the keys in the Airport and have to sign before you see the car. The car may be 4 or 500 meters away in the middle of a multi story. I've picked up dozens of very battered/scratched cars, but have never had to pay any extras. Video around car with your phone if it makes you feel better? At least problems tend to be dealt with by email not phone so there is no language problems.
