LancsLad45 Posted April 17, 2015 Report Share Posted April 17, 2015 Anyone know of a shooting ground in the Bedford are where a non SGC holder can shoot some clays without having to have a lesson. Looking to shoot 50-100 clays this weekend and the guy I have been with in the past (who has SGC) can't go this weekend. I have applied for my SGC but only a week in to application process. loriusgarrulus Posted April 17, 2015 Report Share Posted April 17, 2015 (edited) You will have to have someone with an SGC with you to get your hands on a shotgun anywhere. Found this on BASC website: You may only lend a shotgun to someone without a certificate if you are with that person, on land of which you are legally the occupier OR if you are at a clay pigeon shoot where the chief constable has granted special permission to allow non-certificate holders to shoot. Don't know of any clay shoots that will let you shoot unaccompanied without your SCG. Some grounds even insist on guided shoots even when you have one.
