filzee
We have a heathy population of English and reds on our shoot and don't currently release any. This year we are going to start releasing some but just wondered what people use as feeders for them. We have access to pretty much anything to build feeders so any pictures or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Phil
B725
Just use normal pheasant feeders but with shorter legs we have found that the partridge clear up after the pheasants have knocked out more than they eat
scotslad
Best practice is not to release greys on a shoot if u already have wild breeding greys. will quickly dilute the wild greys and breeding success will drop quickly, Be better to put ur hopper out now to try and get them into as good a condition as possible for breeding, althou getting late now but willnae do any harm. Was a thread on here a while back with a fair bit of info on greys etc
filzee
We won't be releasing greys we tend to try and leave them be so will be releasing reds. I will try and get a few feeders out soon for the wild ones
