johnphilip Posted April 22, 2015 Report Share Posted April 22, 2015 first thank you for showing us how to make some.i made a dozen using the plastic honeycomb stuff had some threaded bar 6mm in the shed so used that for pegs. iset them out in the field just over the road from my house , so i could watch from the window what might happen, it was a quite part of the day not a lot of birds flying about . i just wanted to see how they looked . have enclosed a couple of pictures . first picture just the decoys . second picture in came some rooks watch them get closer and join the decoys , in the second picture the 4 outer are decoys and in the middle was to live rooks . i was amazed one of the got within a couple of feet and was not bothered one bit. this got me thinking do they not take much notice of other birds while they are searching on the ground for food , do they become focused on feeding . once again thats very much second picture with rooks in the center Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just cut a plastic crow decoy in two and drew around it BB I did not double the correx up,its pretty strong stuff Just be careful when you mark your decoys out,make sure the vents run top to bottom on your deeks to allow you to insert the ground spike BB Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
