chrisjpainter
Evening chaps. I was talking to my local gun shop owner today, who had apparently been speaking to hawke and they're apparently drastically slimming down the range: Sidewinder: Not to be made any more Nite-eye Digi: not to be made any more Varmint: Not to be made any more Panorama ev: only AO models will be made Sport HD: Only AO models and not more than x9 magnification. The endurance and the Airmax are going to be kept, but the word was more types will be coming - but at a lot more money. Prices will be going up regardless, so it seems the days of Hawkes being decent quality but for entry level prices might be a thing of the past. Anyone else heard likewise? And now for something completely different Here's my Wolverine as is now. complete with Panorama ev ao and huggett belita shroud

Zenduri
News to me and I'm in need of a decent, reasonably priced scope too! Only piece of mildly news worthy gossip i know is Webley are ditching the Alecto and will be replacing it with a single shot pneumatic as they don't see the point in the multi pump pneumatic anymore. Heard that direct from Webley

Theskyfox
Wonder how this will affect existing scope warranties. I've got two Hawke Sidewinders, and one of them went up the spout last year (There is a thread on here somewhere about it). Hawke deemed it FUBAR, and sent me a new Sidewinder (with the newer reticle) as a replacement . -Andrew
deputy dog
Ive got an hawke sidewinder 4-16x50 TAC 30 on my Wolverine and yes it good for entry level budget scope, though im not overly fussed on the ret on it 10mil Tactilcal version. Bit to busy for my liking but ive got used to it some what now. Pity their scrapping the 3 models though for higher priced new models. Just hope the quality of the glass is up to scratch with the new higher price commanded in the future. Otherwise they could be looking at a loss instead of more business, be interesting whats in store when the new range comes out.
