went out with my pal david for look in couple of horse paddocks last night as hadnt been out for few weeks since linjuring my right eye ,i had to shoot using my left eye so wasnt expecting much but after bit zeroing was bang on dropped first couple just before dark one at 102 yards and other at 56 yds things were looking up.as darkness fell the place was jumping with rabbits but targeting the fully grown rabbits amongst the many small rabbits was our plan david took a nice 70 yrd rabbit off the sticks then we lay down facing a bank thats is littered with holes and dropped them as they ventured out a few half grown were taken also as the landowner had told david she was keen for numbers to be reduced as they are running amock.after shooting a few we moved off to let things settle into another paddock was eyes everywhere and there was charlie right at the back he stuck around abit before he winded us and trotted off he was safe tonight as we were out withe our trusty .22 rimfires.we dropped four large rabbits in one field and the rest retreated to the nearby wood but we will return for them next week.we got couple more back at the bank the best being three rabbits sitting next to a hole ,one in entrance i dropped him blocking the escape for his two pals which david shot all in all not a bad walk in three small fields we ended with 17 rabbits and left many small and unsafe rabbits but theres always another night and hopefully ill return with my sight back.
