I have just had my old faithful flapper die. got the motor out but no i.d. on it just a white label with 62:1 on it.. searched on line but cant find a suitable replacement. I read some have built there own so motors are available somewhere on the net. I ordered a new flapper just in case its terminal but would like to revive the old one. grateful for any help. deny essex Posted May 8, 2015 Report Share Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) I used a 300 RPM 12 volt motor from china for mine via evil b also a 6 volt one , they work fine and not a long wait for it. Have found out 62:1 at 12 volts is 130 rpm. motors are not easy to find with normal search. Most in toys ? oh well SUPPOSE ITS THE RIGHT PLACE Have found 200 rpm which is a lot quicker than fitted also ordered 300 rpm . For £6 all in may as well try both post free. Redditch Posted May 30, 2015 Report Share Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Often the motor hasn't died if you have a speed controller on it. Instead if it's been run very slow, it's got to the "top of cam" and locked itself. Just needs a turn of the gearbox to get it moving again, and then not run it too slow.
