I have been thinking of buying one of these mainly Down to the price.now I know there are better more accurate rifles out there but funds won't allow. So has anyone owned one and what are they like, watched some you tube and the concensus seems to be they are surprisingly good, so let's have your thoughts if you have owned one.

I also had a look at the axis when I was looking for a cheap 223 rifle.i compared it side by side with the howa in the same price range and picked the howa, just felt more solid than the axis..just about to buy another howa.well worth a look in that price range.

Just a thought about a new Howa - I see they have just introduced a .223 with a 1 in 9 barrel. Excellent value at less than £600.

I looked at the savage axis 2 and a howa , the savage had a horrible stock sounded really hollow , the only decent thing i liked about it was it now has the accutrigger fitted to it and has a 1-9 barrel twist , i opted for the howa in the end as the the build quality looked and felt better though it was more expensive than the savage the rfd reckons the savage would be alot more accurate than the howa but i have no complaints so far.
